Norma R. Grant
June 6, 1935 — July 19, 2009

Passed away peacefully on July 19, 2009.

The daughter of Amador and Mary (Rekow) Maun, she was born June 6, 1935 in San Francisco, where she has lived her entire life.

Norma is survived by her well-beloved husband of 54 years, Henry Schalk Grant. She was the devoted mother to Cheryl, Albert and his wife Lita, and Robert.She was exceedingly proud of her grandchildren, Ian, Albert Jr., and Sean. As loving parents, Norma and Henry, in their daily actions successfully impressed upon their children the "Golden Rule." Norma was a sister to Amador, Gerald, and her sole surviving brother, Michael Alan. She will be missed by a multitude of friends.

Norma and Henry opened Mr. Bing's, a well-known San Francisco establishment for over 40 years. They created a legend where new friends were made and old friendships were enjoyed. Norma was honored by many Catholic organizations and the San Francisco Police Association, both services that were dear to her heart. Norma left her mark on the world through her generosity, kindness, consideration of others, and spiritual strength.
